Fabric

Fabric-based serial protocols play a central role in embedded systems. A wide range of fabrics is now, or will soon be available for developers. Most application developers will migrate towards off-the-shelf interconnects such as PCI Express, RapidIO and 10 Gigabit Ethernet as they mature. None of the available interconnects will meet everyone’s needs, and different interconnects will co-exist for some time to come.

Rather than waiting for a fabric ‘winner’ to emerge, Tekmicro developers have created high performance embedded solutions that are fabric agnostic. With decades of experience in designing sophisticated fabric-based products, Tekmicro’s expertise allows developers to select the protocol that best meets their application.
