For A/D and D/A applications, the Quixilica Family of products uses the VME/VXS standards to provide solutions for demanding signal processing applications. For specific protocols, Tekmicro mezzanine products include more than 30 I/O modules in the PMC/XMC form factors Tekmicro PMC/XMCs use an innovative front-end / back-end architecture. The front-end provides the external interface, using industry standards such as Fibre Channel, serial FPDP, FPDP, HOTLink, TAXI, Channel Link, LVDS and others. These modules include a front-end mated to one of several standard back-ends to provide the interface to the carrier card – current back-ends support 32-bit or 64-bit PCI, with Serial RapidIO and PCI Express XMC back-ends in development. This architecture supports low risk migration to the latest interconnect technology without changing the external interface, application software or customer-specific FPGA IP.
